7:15 in the morning and I must admit I would love a cup of coffee right about now. Instead I have half a lemon in some warm water. Time to kick my digestive system into gear for the day ahead.
At 8 am I have my first juice, I am half an hour behind schedule so instead I will have my juices a little later than the recommended time. I start with the most important juice of the day, the PUNCH. It consists of Apple, lime, cucumber, pine, Spirulina and wheatgrass.
The wheatgrass and Spirulina are both “SUPERFOODS” which contain loads of vitamins and minerals.
- Spirulina: Highly concentrated with nutrients, phytonutrients and antioxidants.
- Cucumber/lime: wonderful cleansing properties and are great for hair, kin and nails.
- Wheatgrass: Rich in Chlorophyll, improves heart function, the vascular system, lungs and detoxes blood and liver.
I am feeling great so far, concentration is no problem. I didn’t need to add the avo to it as I am feeling full and satisfied.
10:30am and I have just enjoyed the “BOOST” juice containing: carrot, pineapple, lemon and ginger. Feeling slightly sleepy but not unbearable or hungry.
12:00pm “Refresh” juice: Spring Water, beetroot, apple, pineapple, lemon. The colour is pretty, inviting and tastes sensational. I am not a beetroot fan but it’s not unpleasant at all. I added some crushed ice due to the scorching heat outside and I drank it while taking a stroll. Much needed as I sit in an office all day doing work that needs a decent amount of focus.
I am feeling more energetic, not hungry and have made my first noticeable discovery. My urine is colourless! I’m assuming this is a good sign and that my body is absorbing everything I drink.
1:30 Its’s time lunch! “BUILD” juice: (Spinach, cucumber, celery, apple, parsley, mint,lime).
It’s green and dangerous, I must say the taste is rather BOLD. Positive vibes and a goal in mind and I gulp it down quickly.
It’s been a surprisingly good day, way better than I could of ever expected! I am happy to report that I am alive, energized and am
NOT experiencing any withdrawal symptoms yet. I honestly thought that the first day would be the hardest!
I have another Refresh juice to go before dinner, which at this stage I don’t feel I need.
Dinner will consist of my Purify Juice at 6:30. This juice contains beetroot, berries, apple, cucumber and lemon (YUM). I’m hoping to stick to this and not to opt for a light salad.
Last juice for the day will be the one I am scared of most! SPICE!!! I am NO fan of cloves and spices, so this will be the juice that tests my commitment the hardest. Eeeek.
